Assistant Professor of English
Associate Director of the Center for Medieval and Byzantine Studies

I am a native of Hungary and I was educated (mainly) in Hungary, Germany, and the US. I have always been interested in many more things that I could possibly major in as a student, so I chose to become a truly interdisciplinary scholar: a medievalist with a research interest in the literatures, visual cultures, archaeology, and languages of early medieval England and Scandinavia. I am also a full-time mom of two little boys (this is a job you cannot do part-time). The hardest part of my career has been to come to terms with the fact that a day only has 24 hours and you cannot write a serious conference paper and play LEGOs at the same time.
